The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a Unity-based game that combines playful interaction
with physical activity. Inspired by the classic Snake game, the player controls a
caterpillar that collects fruits on an island, growing with each fruit consumed.
The game is uniquely controlled using a balance board, requiring players to maintain
equilibrium to navigate the environment.
This project was an exploration of Unity, focusing on creativity and fun rather than
a specific purpose. It allowed me to experiment with game mechanics, physics-based
controls, and environmental design.
The concept was built around the idea of integrating a "sporty" element into the gameplay. The balance board mechanic was the foundation of the project, around which the Snake and The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme naturally evolved.
